Unfortunately I had a similar experience to another candidate who interviewed for this same position and posted a review, so I am assuming they were interviewed by the same person. The recruiter first contacted me to schedule a phone interview, which was a series of questions you would normally receive in an interview regarding prior work experience, why you would want to work for the company, etc. At the end of this call, he stated I would be contacted if they wanted me to come in for an in-person interview. I received an email a day after, asking if I would do another phone interview with the hiring manager. This phone interview unfortunately was an unpleasant experience. I was being asked the same questions as I had been asked by the recruiter for that phone interview, and she was disinterested and impersonal before the call even began as if they already had a candidate selected. My interviewer also emphasized the importance of certain skills that conflicted with statements the recruiter made. I too shared the sentiment that if you expressed wanting to grow with the company, for whatever reason that seems to be a negative thing. By the end of the call, I unfortunately knew I did not want to work for this company.

I applied for a client position at Sparefoot I clearly have 3+ years experience doing something similar to the position posted. Less than 24 hours after submitting my application I got a no-reply e-mail back stating that we reviewed your background and qualifications, but we don't have any appropriate positions for you at this time. Not convinced they actually reviewed my application as with some of these more entry level positions in Austin they usually end hiring people purely around nepotism.
