The process took 1 day. I interviewed at TP ICAP in Apr 2012
Interview
The interview was pretty difficult-a rep from london called me and instantly the questions came firing, they asked me some distinct differences between interdealer brokers and traders, investment banks; know their competitors and how iCap has them beat. Stock pitch in their as well; also, in the midst of all of that, they asked 2 math problems. I was not allowed to ask questions about the job/internship afterwards - so I left the phone interview not knowing anything about the job at hand.
it is a very straight forward process, I enjoyed the assessment centre day and I think you will have a great experience too. I would prep with market stuff as well as general finance concept and make sure to be 100% yourself on the day of the interview, good luck
Multiple interviewers asking you questions on how you are and who you know in the industry and do you know difference between broking vs trading. With a quick brain teaser afterwards.
I applied online. I interviewed at TP ICAP (London, England)
Interview
Very relaxed basic questions. They don't want you to try to seem perfect from the feedback that I have received they in fact want you to really convince them that you will stay a broker throughout your career. The key is really to show authenticity, understanding and for them to like your personality.
