While I was a Style Consultant, my team leads would spend time with me working through my floor pad. They would ask me what I think the priorities for my floor pad were each day and how I planned on addressing those priorities. They also observed how I interacted with guests on the floor pad. Whenever we had leadership from other stores or district walking the floor, I was asked to speak on my floor pad; i.e. what are the guests loving in my floor pad, what do I think are the opportunities within my floor pad. A couple of months later, my ETL said that she thought I would be a great specialty sales TL, so she asked me if I wanted to interview for the role and I agreed. The interview involved a sit-down meeting with my store director and ETL. I can't remember if HR was in the meeting as well.

Question 1
Describe a situation where you and a person with a different opinion worked together to accomplish a goal.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (Belleville, IL) in Jan 2025
Interview
The interview was in person with the HR ETL and another ETL. Was told I would get 3 questions, but wound up answering 5. If it's not your department you are interviewing for don't waste your time. Despite being told by HR that I interviewed better, had a better resume, and more management experience they wanted someone who knew one of the departments better.
