I spoke to the investigator of the study on the phone, and then I came in for an interview. I spoke with her about my research background and interests. After that I was scheduled for a background check and medical exam.

The interview occurred over zoom. Previous employee history was discussed. I explained what my weekly tasks. I explained my timeline and goals after graduation. The role and expectations of the new position were described.
