I met with the Residential Director. He was the person in charge of the residential side of the Arc. (This acronym is now used instead of its former name, Association for Retarded Citizens.) (Other parts of the Arc, such as the workshops, are under other directors.) After reviewing my resume and asking a few questions about it to get more depth, he described the posted job responsibilities to me. This was an upper-level management position, where the individual oversaw the managers responsible for all aspects of taking care of developmentally and intellectually disabled individuals who lived together in group homes, including overseeing the running of the house itself, and the support staff. This was a one-on-one, in-person interview with only an initial interview being done (no subsequent interviews.)
