Interview
Really nice and welcoming. Honest and open about the job. If you weren’t sure about a scenario answer they helped you through it. Currently in paid orientation which is a lot of online trainings and a driving training so far. HR is also extremely helpful and kind.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at The Arc (Corvallis, OR) in Feb 2019
Interview
They interviewed me for nearly an hour and a half and then expected me to work 6 hours unpaid as a working interview. I declined. They were also very unprofessional during the interview. The head of the organization asked me multiple times when I moved to their town, said the town is nice if you can afford it and made other snobby comments during the interview. Then they thanked me for being honest. I have 8 years of experience in the field so I was not expecting to have to prove my skills, especially for so long when they could have just called my numerous references from relevant experience. It seems like they may have wanted a volunteer to save money. The job I applied for paid a meager $12.20 per hour. I tried to ask if they could have me do a 2 hour working interview that was paid upon hire, but they never got back with me about it.
