Interview
I applied on line to an ad for Hershey's Sales and Merchandising. The company sent me an application to fill out and called to describe the position. The person who called sounded very young and as if she was reading from a script. This initail person then passed the minimal info she obtained about me to another person who interviewed me by phone. That person also read from a list of obvious questions, like how would I fit in with the Comapnay and based on my experience, why would I be good at this kind of work....etc. I was then told someone will probably contact me for an in person interview. There is no personal congeniality and it's pretty clear you're dealing with a major corporation who hires for this kind of position constantly. Still, it seems like a good job for the pay and hours. We'll see.

Interview
Got an email to set up phone interview. Sent confirmation and within two days of applying for job had a phone interview which was about thirty minutes long using the STAT format. The next day I had an email for second phone interview with a territory manger. This interview lasted around twenty minutes using the same STAR technique.

Process was Lengthy. Phone interview first and then in an person interview with 2 managers. STAR questions used. A half day out on the road with an experienced merchandiser to see what job entails and to see if you ask them the correct questions about the job. Drug screening background check. Whole process took about 1 month.

Phone interview with a recruiter. In person interview with hiring Sales Manager and District Sales Manager. Informal interview, very relaxed. Asked many stock type interview questions like strengths and weaknesses. Got a phone call same day after interview with an offer.
