I applied online. I interviewed at Torrid (Cleveland, OH) in Jun 2017
Interview
I went through two rounds of interviews, one with the hiring manager and one with the manager of the store I was specifically applying to. The interview was pretty standard, general managerial concepts were discussed along with specific scenarios you may encounter on a daily basis and what you have previously done in those situations. The only down side I had to the whole process was the communication. I started this process back in March (It is current August and I was told I'd hear back end of July) and was told multiple times by multiple people that I would be contacted in a certain timeframe and never was. I felt as if I had to hunt people down and do their job. While I am all about going the extra mile a number of times I did this was excessive. I was disappointed considering their corporate structure was something I admired, to have such a poor experience with something so standard to any good customer service.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Torrid (Chicago Ridge, IL) in Jan 2023
Interview
The interview is usually super casual, more like chatting with a friend. It is based off a company provided guide. They ask about previous work experience, retail experience, how you keep up with fashion, loss prevention and why you want to work with Torrid
Completed 3 rounds of interviews. One with the Store Manager, the next with a Store Manager of a different location, and the last with the District Manager. The initial Store Manager interview was very relaxed.
Her style was very conversational where she was able to still get the information that she needed but it was was a very easy interview on both parts. The second interview with the other Store Manager asked your typical interview questions and it was very straight up and down. The same with the District Manager- very quick and to the point thought. Wasn't very long at all.
