Toyota set up a booth at the local career fair at my school. I chatted with a representative for 15 mins or so. He then gave me an interview slot for the next day. In the interview, I was asked STAR formatted questions and they ran over my resume and asked about my experiences

Question 1
What is one unique way you solved a difficult problem at one of your last experiences?
A virtual format for the initial interview— you needed to record yourself for each answer. You had two attempts for every question which really helped. After you are chosen for the next round, you fly out to Kentucky to be interviewed two more times and meet other interns.

I attended the SWE Conference and got to their booth early to talk to the recruiters. They asked me about myself, extracurriculars related to my major, etc and put me down for an interview for the next day. I got a call a few days after for a co-op offer.

Went to career fair and talked about my previous co-op experiences which happened to also be in automotives. Then was called for an interview the next day. They use the STAR interview format.
