I applied through other source. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Tropical Smoothie Cafe (Celebration, FL) in Sep 2015
Interview
This interview was held openly in the store in an open environent. In my case, interviewees were to fill out an application and sign-in in the back until you were called to be interviewed.
Last week I had originally went into the interview and I personally thought it had not gone well. I was really excited about this job and called asking for a re-interview. My interviewer (who was named Emily) never called me back and after today, making it clear she purposely ignored me.
Regardless, I came hoping for a reinterview but she was completely rude. I had explained why and she flat out lied to me saying how she thought my interview was fine, but moments later says "we're not looking to hire people people like you". Really? You're not looking for a student teenager with no criminal background who make up 99% of all TSC's employees?
I understood that my last interview wasn't that well (I was sick and nervous) which is exactly why I came in for a re-interview but she wouldn't let me even do that. She straight out told me "no" that I cannot... How many people are that excited for a job that they want to make the best impression by going in a second time?
If she wasn't interested in hiring me, fine, but she wanted to lie and be rude about it instead of letting me know by phone or after my re-interview they would not move forward with my application.
I'm sure the company as a whole and other managers are great, but she if she is going to be rude and lie, I don't want to work under her.
I applied online. I interviewed at Tropical Smoothie Cafe (Texas City, TX)
Interview
The interview was so easy and simple. Stress was non existent felt like talking to a friend . They ask basic questions like tell me about your self and why do you want to work here
Typical interview questions, hired on the spot. Started the next day and had a great (and stressful) experience. Would do it again. Got free smoothies everyday, had fun with coworkers. Customers can get ansty sometimes but you have to keep pushing
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Tropical Smoothie Cafe (Las Vegas, NV) in Aug 2025
Interview
Lasted about fifteen minutes and the conversation was flowing naturally. Very laidback and interviewer was nice and interested in actually getting to know you. Also very sweet and understanding of your schedule.
