The process was extremely long. After doing a phone interview, a video interview (you just record yourself while answering questions; you don't actually talk to anyone!), and an assessment test, I had to wait almost two months for an hiring event where I would finally get a chance to talk to some managers. Unfortunately, the hiring event was cancelled due to Covid-19. Instead, I had two Google Hangout interviews with four managers. After that, I never heard back from Ultimate Software ever again. Given the time invested, I found it rather frustrating and disrespectful. If we didn't get the job, just let us know! If you are on a hiring freeze, let us know! I say "us" because a friend of mine applied for the same position and had the same experience, so it's reasonable to assume we are not the only two. Anyway, if that's the way Ultimate Software treats people, we dodged a bullet. It's all well and good to put "People first" on your website, but you have to walk the walk (or maybe candidates are not actual people).
