Call with recruiter, senior member of the team, coding assignment, onsite (behaviorial mostly). Straightforward but wasn't selected - still waiting for feedback. If anything, I would think its because they were looking for a certain type of person and I didn't fit that mold despite having worked for over a decade and been a data science manager leading a team/initiative in the past. This role seemed rather junior anyway within a rather esoteric field but knowing how the hiring manager is Boston based I would assume he had a bias of low expectations about me anyway since im a minority even if I aced the interview since thats what most Boston based hiring managers presume. It's par for the course and right on brand. I'd proceed with caution with this company if you're a minority - they presumably had someone in mind anyway less so based on merit but on type.
