Having a background in medium to high voltage systems, I was very familiar with Avtron, as allot of my sites already had or needed a fixed load bank.
Like the majority of us, I was contacted by a recruiter for about 30 minutes. Later that night she contacted me and said the VP was very interested in speaking with me the very next day. So I cleared my schedule and prepared for the interview. The time came and went, and after 4 hours of waiting I received a text from the recruiter asking how it went. I informed her I never received a phone call from the VP. She contacted me later and apologized, but had accidentally set it for the next week.
So the next week I wait, and same thing occurred. This time no one reached out. An overly obvious sign of lack of respect. So I waited to see if anyone would reach out the next day,…. And nothing. So at the end of the day I texted the Recruiter again stating that it was another “No-Show”. I received no response back until 4 days later stating that she’ll “look into it”.
No reply or contact weeks after. I finally texted her back letting them know I wish them the best of luck on their candidates… and I moved on.
My perception of experiences are much like anyone else, 1st impressions will tell you 90% of what you need to know. And if they don’t respect you in the interview process… then it’s just the tip of the iceberg of what you’ll experience later.
I’m usually not this vocal, but I absolutely knew I was qualified and had experience with the equipment and to get “No-Showed” by a Vice President is absolutely disgusting business ethics. The upper brass should always be leading the example they want conveyed through their own Team. I truly feel sorry for this company if this is what is leading and mentoring the company’s employees.
