I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Viasat (Los Angeles, CA) in Jan 2015
Interview
They recruited at an on campus event. Two recruiters were sent to our campus. I gave them my resume, and they replied the next day via phone to schedule an on-campus interview. The interview was the next day, held in our school's career center. After the interview, there was a waiting period where they reviewed the results. I heard back a few weeks later, but accepted another offer at that time.

Question 1
How would you design an algorithm for an elevator?
One phone screen and one behavioral interview with hiring manager. Very smooth and quick process. Talked about past experiences on my resume and answered questions about working on a team. Entire process took about 1 week.

Question 1
What was an important component about antenna systems?
Initial phone screen was straightforward. Interview with manager was considerably more difficult with resume deep dive and technical questions targeting ASIC/FPGA design flow, digital logic questions, and RTL coding. Expect to be questioned in detail about anything on your resume.
Usually get to know each other kind of questions. Tell me about yourself, are you open for relocation, do you have salesforce experience, tell me about your hobbies, why did you apply for viasat. The hiring manager then walked me through the role and its responsibilities.
