I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Viasat in Feb 2015
Interview
After applying online for a position through indeed.com, I was contacted by a lady in HR a couple weeks later. I first had a phone screening interview with her within that week. I was the scheduled for a phone interview a few weeks later with one of their software engineers. He asked me a few technical questions but nothing too complicated. The next week I was told that there were going to offer me an intern position for the summer like I applied for and they were going to get the next steps set up. Then I didn't hear anything for a few weeks before they told me that they lost funding for the position I applied for.

Interview
Met a representative at a career fair, and then got invited for an on-campus interview about a month later. Interview lasted about half an hour, and was pleasant overall. Had no technical questions, which was very surprising, since that's all I prepared for. Talked the whole time about my internship experiences, and my side projects.
