I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Wayve in Mar 2025
Interview
TL;DR: Unprofessional recruiters and low compensation packages
I was contacted by a recruiter from Wayve and proceeded through their interview process, which included three technical rounds (coding, ML system design, and ML research) as well as interviews with hiring managers.
While the technical staff I met were kind and respectful, the experience was let down by an unprofessional and disorganized recruitment process. There were extremely long gaps between interviews, poor communication throughout, and messages that came across as immature and careless. I was then completely ghosted.
The lack of professionalism and coordination from the recruiting team raises serious concerns about the company’s internal culture and processes. Although I had been contacted by Wayve repeatedly over the years, this experience reaffirmed my initial hesitation to engage.
To make matters worse, the compensation packages offered are quite low.
Overall, a time-wasting experience.

Standard recruiter interview for 30 minutes, then a 1-hr hiring manager interview. Then another 1 hour for a technical interview. All the people I had met were nice and treated you like they wanted you to be part of the team which was very impressive. I like that there were no tricky questions to expect and the questions were like what you would see in the job.
After the interview, I sent an email to follow up with a recruiter (note that there are several recruiters at Wayve). Unfortunately, I didn't get any reply at all. It has been several months already so I was completely ghosted by the interviewer. I was impressed with Wayve hiring process overall but in the end getting ghosted after spending a few hours with them was so disappointing and showing how unprofessional their hiring team was. I don't think I would consider applying again.
