It is not only your own work but the work of others and their impact has a knock on effect on the wider business so it is imperative that the communication between Shift Lead, Vehicle Safety Operators and other Stakeholders is strong. Having to manage staffing, vehicles, and operational demands can become challenging due to day to day needs of the Shift. If not maintained then there is always a possibility of losing control of the Shift. There is a necessity for addressing performance, feedback, and conflict professionally as it is something that should not be avoided. It needs to be dealt within the time frame it occurs as these situations can and may be time sensitive. Making quick, effective decisions in a fast-paced environment due to the unpredictable nature of the business is paramount. Not just doing the aforementioned but maintaining a high standard while doing it can be mentally fatiguing. With the ability to respond to the evolving priorities and supporting the team through change.
