Description Diamonds can be a manufacturer's best friend too. Element Six, or e6, is named after the sixth element, carbon (the building block of diamonds). The company is among the leading global suppliers of synthetic and natural industrial-grade diamonds and other industrial abrasives. Its abrasives are used for cutting, grinding, drilling, and polishing metal, concrete, glass, plastics, and other materials. e6's sales and distribution outlets are located throughout the world. Most are wholly owned by Element Six, though a few independent distributors are contracted. It was called De Beers Industrial Diamonds until 2002, and it still comprises companies both independent of and partly owned by diamond giant De Beers.
