Mission The mission of Epiphany Center is to promote and strengthen family life through programs faithful to the beliefs of the Catholic Church, rooted in Judeo-Christian values and the tradition of service of the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul.
Description Since 1852, Epiphany Center (formerly Mount St. Joseph-St. Elizabeth) has been helping San Francisco's most marginalized women and children heal from substance abuse, mental illness, homelessness, and intergenerational poverty.

Our organization provides a safe and spiritual place for a woman to transform her life of trauma and pain into a life that's truly worth living.

Today, over 3,200 children are homeless or at imminent risk in San Francisco. The 2nd most common cause of homelessness is parental substance abuse. Each year over 400,000 infants are born prenatally exposed to alcohol and drugs. Substance abuse accounts for over 1/3 of the reason that children enter the child welfare system. But we envision a future in which families stay together and heal together!
