Pros

- good product and industry (it's helpful to the world at large) - the company cares about its culture and doing right by its employees - lots of interesting, complex challenges to work on

Cons

- company struggles operationally - tends to naval gaze and chase shiny balls - senior leadership turn-over has been high (company isn't sure what it wants and/or it's difficult to succeed and so they either move on or get fired) which makes it very difficult on middle management and individual contributors (need to start relationship building from scratch, goal posts to measure personal success are constantly changing), - difficult to tell if the decision making is strategic or insane (sometimes there's a fine line between genius and crazy) - at times very high work loads, crazy hours/deadlines

Pros

Great people but usually in IC roles. Super smart and dedicated peers on product team.

Cons

Product Leadership is not very strong here. They often fire or remove great talent from their teams to hide and make excuses for their incompetencies. They are more of a military-hierarchical organization and not respect strong voice or challenges, no matter how correct you are.

Lost & Getting Worse

Pros

Good brand recognition and work is remote.

Cons

No chance to make money in sales outside of the SMB segment. Commoditized products - just a race to the bottom with competition these days. Salary bands below market and comp plan is designed to minimize payouts. No investment in reps for training, industry education, or to meet prospects, but expectations for us to sell like a mature sales-org. Benefits are getting increasingly worse, home office benefit is just a small portion added to your pay once per quarter... RevOps has free reign to change what they like, doesn't take feedback, making work very inefficient. Doesn't seem like they do any due diligence before acquiring companies.
