Pros

- Still the best password manager in the market. A brand that has a great following and now a global brand that's attracting a lot of attention. - The founders and CEO are wonderful people who are down to earth and defy the caricature that is associated with billion dollar tech company owners. - The product is something that all of us can stand behind, and it's getting better and better. - Still a great company to work for. It's changed a lot since the VC money started coming in, but the proportion of positives far outweighs the negatives. - Much lower staff attrition compared with many other tech firms. - To date there has not been any significant layoff other than the odd re-org resulting in a couple of roles being eliminated. The founders have said how they dislike mass layoffs and don't want to be that kind of company. - Pay and benefits are all above average.

Cons

Disclaimer: I don't think these cons are unsolvable, but just reflect where the issues currently are. - The growth and scaling at times has been painful. Communication and execution have been challenging at times. - There are a lot of people who are working extremely hard, and putting in more hours than they should to get the job done. - HR is a huge weak point at the moment. There are some major issues with defining salary bands and job roles. Some people are perpetually in the wrong band and job code and there's no end in sight. - I'm also aware where performance ratings were bumped down and/or salary raises were reduced in order to make HR statistics work. This is very disappointing.

Declining workplace in the past year

Pros

- Competitive pay in Canada - Fully remote - 5 weeks of vacation

Cons

- Great workplace a year ago but it's declined substantially recently - Re-orgs have brought on disconnected management/leadership - People are fired without clear communication or reasoning - Lack of psychological safety with the new changes, people don't want to take ownership because they worry it'll hurt them in the future
