Pros

The trainers that were here in the beginning were really good people to work with.

Cons

Where do I begin, will have to work outside in extreme conditions. (I.e 100 degree weather, hurricanes, etc). On one of our promotion days some people were burnt to a crisp, red as tomatoes, and they were just told to keep taking orders outside. Will not be given breaks. I once worked 10 hours in 100 degree weather (the ac was not working at this time in the building) and I was not allowed a break. During one of our promotion days (100 degree weather) one of the employees said they were too scared to sit down for a second due to the nasty and harsh looks they were receiving from the management. One girl was throwing up, and another was practically passed out in the freezer and they were just told to get back to work. Severely understaffed (on purpose). The time that your schedule says you get off is not the actual time you get off. They will keep you there until they are satisfied. (I get off about 20 minutes later everyday due to the fact that we never have enough people). They promote people that they are fully aware are not kind in nature. We do not have a call out policy like a NORMAL job. If you do not find someone to cover your shift, that is an automatic write up. Promised us more hours , and now they have just been cut even further. Very disorganized and sloppy overall. Many bad incidents with managers ( the managers lack serious experience). We were also not informed that some of our tips were going to the shift leads, so we thought we were making more money than we actually were!

Pros

Free drinks, good discount, and pretty good people to work with.

Cons

It is managed by college aged people with seemingly no experience, you will be outside in extreme conditions (100+ degrees for hours with no breaks, for example), they say they will give you hours and then cut it to almost nothing, and some creepy experiences with the higher ups.

Pros

Decent coffee, the pay is alright and the tips are good. Customers are mostly nice.

Cons

The “ballers” that train staff for new stands are way too young and inexperienced in the food/beverage industry. They blast their music and spend a lot of time doing non work related things. I believe many of them abuse the opportunity to get paid to hangout and travel and make friends instead of focusing on executing proper training. Lots of favoritism, if you don’t get along with someone in management (ballers) good luck, because they will find a reason to fire you in a millisecond. I asked to turn down the music so I could communicate better with my team and was given a snarky response of “but this is seven brew”, & while I was working on shots during a rush I asked them for help and they said no, so I snapped a little bit, and had an attitude. Cursing is not allowed, you must be nice to everyone all the time. With no warnings or write ups they demoted me from being a shift lead. I have 10 years of experience in hospitality, and a bachelors degree. I felt disrespected by their lack of professionalism.
