Don't work here

Pros

Good workers, decent customers, I at times believed in the products

Cons

I was Store Manager and NEVER was paid minimum wage. I was expected to work up to 70 hours a week for $700. My lowest paid employees were paid more then me. I was constantly sexually harassed by my Franchise Owner (we are both men) making me EXTREMELY uncomfortable. The company uses the franchise agreement in order to make the most money, while taking ZERO responsibility for the direction of their company. They turn a blind eye to legitimate criminal activity. Do not work here unless you are a new immigrant looking for an immediate hire job, and to improve your English skills. The company also supported a "shotgun effect" with their own products, where they would require a Franchise Owner to buy every terrible (mostly quality-wise decent but wouldn't sell,) thus putting further strain on the bottom line. 7 Select products simply don't sell, and are a cash grab.

Pros

Flexible work schedule. If you like to merchandise and to take ownership of what you can offer your customers and create a store that is focused around your surrounding then you will love working for this company.

Cons

It is a 24/7 365 days a year business so if you are not ready to make that commitment probably not the company for you.

Pros

I work with some great people who really foster the team and lift each other up. Amazing group of Franchisees in this market who are receptive to growing, changing, and learning more every day. Fairly competitive salary.

Cons

Direction changes weekly, daily. Inordinate focus on singular items with no regard for anything else. Remodel/renovation money is virtually non-existent, even though there are 40, 50+ years old that are literally crumbling. Unattainable bonuses. Scorecard for the year was not released until May or June. Lack of support. Burden of execution always lies on the Field Consultant, regardless of circumstance. Work/like balance isn't much of a balance.
