Pros

Lucky to have a job in this economy, which is the only reason I am working here.

Cons

They pay insulting wages and expect you to do the work of two people. At this company, they get WAY MORE than they pay for. Working alone in an unsafe environment. No employee discounts. No breaks. They do let you have free coffee, soda and slurpees....I guess it's to make swallowing your pride a little easier. They throw away so much food, it's heartbreaking. You have to unwrap everything before you throw it away, and dump the soda down the drain before throwing the bottles away. Even so, there are still hungry, homeless people rooting around in the disgusting dumpster for something to eat. Would it really be so bad to keep the items wrapped so that they could eat them without them being contaminated by the germ laden dumpster?!? I only work here so that my family doesn't have to resort to rooting around in the same dumpster for food.

Pros

Easy job but demanding on your feet a lot. Liked some of my customers but the co workers were not always professional

Cons

Very low pay, hard to make promotions, training was not always available. Crazy change in schedule at last minute. Abused by some customers. No respect.

Pros

Being able to take expired food home.

Cons

At my location we only get paid for the hours were scheduled. So if I wrk any extra time to count my till or fix the coffees I don't get paid for it. It's a franchised location I recommend that if you work at a 7-11 don't work at a franchised location. Work schedules are made last minute so you can never make any plans for the upcoming week. They expect alot of work for minimal pay. Youre by yourself alot and do not get any lunches or breaks.
