Pros

Truly an individual experience. You can make it a great or a terrible one depending on how much effort and care you're willing to put into the job.

Cons

No heat or air conditioning in some stores. Often working with inexperienced staffing and doing more than your job requires in order to make up for others' inadequacies.

Thank you for your feedback on moving up in the company. You have to put the effort in to earn advancement. As you move up your pay and responsibilities increase. Many stores do not heat or cool their entire buildings. Our associates always have a place to warm up or cool down in extreme weather.

84 Lumber believes in promotion from within. We internally post promotion opportunities and associates are free to apply to any position in the company they feel qualified for. 84 Lumber recently raised the pay for manager trainees. Manager Trainees work a minimum of 48 hours per week so their is overtime pay as well. 84 Lumber added five personal days to increase the number of paid time off days our associates have.
