The pay is not what is promised. Unless you are at a large location then don't count on any end of the month bonus. At hire they stat you will earn $47,000./year... In reality it is $37,632/yr. I was told my bonus' would be between $700-900 EACH MONTH ... Sure that's true if you happen to get hired for a Large location of at least $20M/yr store... However for a small store of annual sales of 5-6M/yr... My monthly bonus' have been.........$25. So... if you are ok with $16/hr at 45 hrs/week with insurance that is more expensive that the open marketplace then this is the place for you.

Pros

I love the group of guys I work with, they're all very hard working and understanding. I've been to a few other stores and I can see that they all share this feeling within their stores too.

Cons

Corporate needs to step into the 21st century. They need to drop the no facial hair bs and move into being an actual building material store other than just lumber. As for area managers, I've only met one and we'll call him T.C. he's worthless. They need to pay more than $16/hr for MT's and $18/hr for Co's

Person from HR/Recruitment was professional and nice. Role available matched my experience well and pay range matched what I expected.

Cons

In a nutshell its a privately held company since 1956. There is a dress code for all employees, consists of corporate branded shirt, ok. kaki's and hard sole shoe, ok..no problem there. No facial hair, at all except neatly trimmed mustache. COVID vax and boosters are mandated. So full stop, not interested. Arcane and outdated work mandates will limit your candidate pool.
