Pros

The Best Terminal, dispatch & warehouse managers in the game... PERIOD! I am treated as a valued employee and not just a number... As stated in the 85 Year History of Pyle hardback book, "Its the Country Club of LTL." 8 Months and I earned a spot in our current TDA Driving Academy in Mass while earning my normal rate and being trained by the best facilitators in the business for my CDL w/ full endorsements. That is unheard of without signing your life and paycheck away for a couple years to most companies... Top Brass are always visiting our almost 50 terminals in rotation and remember your face, if not your name... I don't plan on peddling freight forever, but I have always been intrigued by supply chain logistics & fulfillment since before Amazon even existed. These guys do it all! Mix that in with a passion for mapping & algorithms and I plan on writing my own ticket to be the first driver liaison to be on the front lines to our C-Suite officers and be out in the field alongside software integrators when were are first fielding autonomous driving fleet software..... With hard work and dedication, I am confident I made the best decision of my adult life when I sold my business and decided to choose this company, A.DuiePyle to retire at 25 years from now....

Cons

I honestly can't think of a single negative. My hours are amazing and to my liking. Being self employed my entire life, I have never had benefits and matching 401k. Bonus for referring drivers were a great surprise. Possibly the only negative I can think of is knowing myself and other drivers pull something now & them because of 2500/3000 pallets. It would be nice if we had the option to pay a lease of $50 a month out of our paychecks for our own motorized pallet jack ($750/$800ea container cost imported) and that would really save on actual time of taking a 1klbs pallet up a city block as well as cut out injuries of hernia, but that seems to be more for ES Straight Truck Drivers than actual LTL CDL or Linehaul positions and this review is not geared towards that position anyways. I encourage anyone reading this review, in waffling to apply for a position at Pyle, to sharpen your pencil and know that your can start your way into a new career that has the potential of earning six figures in no time at all.... Anyone that has the chance to be interviewed and looking to further their lifestyle for the future, it would be an unfortunate mistake to pass on this company....

Pros

none that I can think of

Cons

Do not even think about working here. They can not keep supervisors to save their life. Today I was told I needed to stay late next week. Which I reminded them I Could not as I have kids and need to get home to put them on the bus. Mind you the day I started my job was switched. I was hired for outbound, and the day I showed up I was switched to inbound. I was able to make the switch. My wife had to quit her part time job, we lost that extra income, and got the last spot in day care, spending now $239 a week. Yesterday I mentioned to my boss that I am a team player, and Friday into Saturdays Kevin can come in late and go early, and I would stay late to make up for the time during the week. He loved that idea. Today after I was told I need to stay late next week, I shot the same manager an email just asking him what we could do to solve this issue, reminding him about my kids situation. Instead of working with me, he changed his attitude and said "I am not happy with this "probational period" we are parting ways. What? For asking for a SOLUTION we all could come to. So I change my whole life around for them and they don't care. Toss you out like you are trash. DO not work here. You are just a number. All they care about are their numbers. Cut times. OH and I was promised by Vincent, I assume one of the higher up GMS that "Pyle is embracing family home life style, inbound supervisor's only work an 8 to 8 and a half hour shift because we value family" Yeah bull they make you work as many hours as you can and they knew I had a family to take care of and boom, gone for asking a question. What a joke. No clue how they are growing when every supervisor LEAVES. I know personally 3-4 who all left.
