Pay is very low. Long hours and always understaffed because nobody wants to work there! I worked for them a year and a half and was successful because I put a lot of work into it!Pay your employees more! They bought all their managers brand new cars and couldn’t give employees a raise instead when COVID started and went ahead and cut our hours because money wasn’t coming in lol they’re a joke they do not value employees owners see them as their dogs when they come in!!

Where do I begin! When I say cheap it’s not the normal cheap companies typically try to be, I’m talking about cutting corners so bad it’s embarrassing. Amax also owns Alpa insurance and they have Regionals / ZM drive 2008 company cars with no AC, mechanical issues, and they do not pay the full cost of gas to visit stores they have to pay out of their own pocket for the difference! Goals are so obviously set so agents won’t bonus but they sell you the dream of great commissions but it’s a lie. People are quitting left and right from all departments and the people who own these companies still see the value in the group who run these two companies. Seriously? Like why? Do you not see where the breadcrumbs are coming from? How many ppl need to quit before you realize those were not all “bad hires” and the problem is within and it needs change. Time to fold on certain ppl. There are inappropriate relationships going on with leaders and employees but some people are just untouchable. Their core values only apply to some not all which makes this place a joke. Going to HR well you can tell they actually agree w you but they are trumped by decision makers even if they wanted to do the right thing. Want time w your family? Well only if you are ok with doing it on sundays because that’s the only day you have off. Engagement is non existent unless you’re a favorite. They are quick to scold and threaten and made to feel as if you’re lucky to be employed there. You suffer while they drive corvettes and Bentleys. There are so many other companies who run a more honest insurance organization so just keep looking. This will be a big regret.
