Pros
Great colleagues and reasonable, qualified management in most departments; fair salaries; nice location; supporting a great cause felt good and most staff seemed to feel connected to the organizations mission.
Cons
Dated approach to management. The CEO was a powerhouse who, while impressive in many ways, acted as if she owned the organization due to the very long time she worked there and her impressive rise through the ranks to reach the position. But it was sometimes a weird place to work because everyone was completely deferential to her even as she made quirky demands of staff. She also sometimes seemed to make business decisions driven by personal relationships without considering the impact on others. Not horrible but not great.
