Pros

Excellent leaders that listen to feedback, concerns and ideas Provide opportunities for education to further your career Flexibility when needed Independence in your role - no micromanaging Support when needed Marketing specifically has an incredible culture Unlimited PTO (that is encouraged) Competitive benefits & 401K match I love working at AAPC and appreciate the support for continuing education and the growth opportunities at this company. Leaders from the top down are highly engaged without micromanaging. I feel supported in my role, have the freedom to try new things, and successes are celebrated. Priorities are in line, and the work/life balance is the best I have experienced in my career.

Cons

Communication and collaboration between departments can be rocky, but is improving.

Pros

There were many opportunities to learn and stretch myself. I feel like 4.5 years here jumped my IT career ahead 10 years in knowledge/experience. Management was always giving me opportunities to learn new systems/tools. I am extremely grateful for this company for this. I really enjoyed working with all my co-workers on the IT team and with other teams on inter-team projects. Everyone is friendly and fun to be around.

Cons

While there were lots of opportunities to grow and learn, there were many unkept promises when it came to compensation. I was first promised by my supervisor that a raise would come at the start of the next year, When that didn't happen, I was told it would come on my work-anniversary. When that didn't come, I brought it to my director; he promised that I would get a promotion and a raise at the start of the next year. Again, that didn't happen. Instead I got a promotion with no raise--in reality it was just a title change--but I got another promise that the raise would come on my work anniversary. Again, that didn't happen, but I decided to loop in HR this time (even though my direct supervisor said that was an "unprofessional" decision lol) and I finally got a 3% raise. In hindsight, I wish I hadn't trusted my supervisor/director to keep their word. I wish I'd created a paper trail for every verbal promise I'd gotten. In IT at AAPC, they will give you access to more systems and train you on more technologies in order to keep you loyal to the company. While this is fun and gives great experience, it also feels a little slimy.

Pros

Schedule Flexibility Hybrid schedule Supportive sales management team Great opportunity to make a solid income (in sales) Products that are meaningful and necessary Work/Life balance Nicole and Jeremy are fun to work for I truly believe AAPC is a solid company that has long term goals to keep the company, employees, and most importantly our members, flourishing for decades to come.

Cons

Overall AAPC is a great place to work but… Our internal systems (like our POS, phone system we use to make the sales calls, shopping cart) are frustrating and often times cause more unnecessary stress but they are getting better…Just more things to do and worry about throughout the day on top of quotas and KPI's There is lots of disconnect between departments … ask 5 different people a question and you’ll probably get 2-3 different answers As in any other sales gigs, the pressure from management can be a bit extreme Some of the price hikes on products have been a little extreme and priced some of our ideal clientele right out, I think they are finally realizing this and correcting as necessary... Not the place to climb any corporate ladders or make career moves. You can, however, sell your heart out and make management wages without the stress of managing a team. That's not a "con" in my book but could be if you are looking to rise into management.
