Pros

President is listening and implementing what employees want and need, it really seems like he cares not only about making the business run, but about keeping the people who run the business genuinely happy, I am not sure who's idea it was to implement the All Star Recognition Program but its great, these ideas have really helped with Culture and Morale

Cons

Try to listen from the bottom us, sometimes I feel like we on the bottom get heard last HR has disappeared in the last 6 months or so, have no idea who is handling it and no one to ask questions to, frustrating when you need someone to talk to

AAPC is in my blood...

Pros

I’ve worked at AAPC for 15 years. AAPC is my home away from home. In fact, my wardrobe consists mostly of AAPC apparel – I should probably start focusing on my personal fashion more. There is a very family-like atmosphere at AAPC, which is what I like most. We have a lot of tenured staff, which tells me we’re doing something right. We don’t experience a lot of turnover, even in our support and sales departments. I’ve been able to create life-long relationships with many people I work with and it helps keep work enjoyable and interesting. I’ve been provided with many opportunities for growth within AAPC and I’m so thankful for that. I enjoy free lunch every day, unlimited PTO (which really helps establish a healthy work/life balance), and the onsite gym. More importantly, I appreciate the autonomy and opportunity to really contribute to the success of the company. My opinions/ideas are heard and considered. AAPC has a good mixture of personality and talent, positioning us for success against our aggressive goals. There is a lot of pressure to hit our goals, but I like it and feel it’s necessary to ensure continued stability and growth. What company is successful without aggressive, but obtainable goals? There’s always something to do, which makes the days go by quickly. Over the past couple years, our CEO has really focused on improving our technology stack to help make us more efficient and systematically stable. He’s also been heavily focused on improving communication within the company, which has long been an issue and we’re seeing significant improvement!

Cons

Technology has been an issue for many years at AAPC. While we’ve focused on it a lot the past few years, I feel there’s still room for improvement. I hear 2019 will be a great year for technology investment, so I’m anxious to see what comes of it. I’m hoping for better business intelligence that will help us make more informed decisions. Benefits can be improved via 401k match implementation, but I hear that’s being implemented soon. Lastly, we do run lean at AAPC. That can be worrisome at times, but with more investment in technology and implementing operational efficiencies, it’s gotten better and I hope to see continued improvement.
