Pros

The ability to work remotely

Cons

As a contractor, there are no routine yearly reviews with management, so you didn't hear if there are areas of improvement needed (some may think this is a pro) In general, if you are performing well your contract auto renews No opportunity to advance and become a staffer--this was very rare within my dept
