Pros

They are the 800 pound gorilla in facilities maintenance. They have many, many locations and types of facilites available to workers. Their safety and training are above average.

Cons

They're at war with union employees. They have a very cavalier attitude towards contract compliance and exact retribution against employees who contest contract violations. It is not uncommon for ABM managers to harrass employees who greive contract violations, to slander employees at arbitration hearings. Fortunately, they leave themselves open to discovery, as their tactics are not well thought out.

Pros

Unfortunately there are no Pros!

Cons

This company has become extremely difficult to work for due to poor leadership decisions and constant turnover. Employees are let go for minor issues, HR is often placed in roles they are not trained for, and there is little support or clear direction. Morale is very low, and most employees work in fear of losing their jobs. Until leadership improves and employees are given proper support, training, and stability, the culture will continue to decline. None that I can think of!

Pros

Decent benefits for full-time employees Annual bonuses for salaried employees

Cons

Senior leaders across departments aren't in the same chapter, let alone the same page Salaries are not competitive for IT staff HR is disorganized and underskilled. Also, HR doesn't seem to understand that people who leave their positions voluntarily do expect to be paid. I didn't receive my last check on the normal payroll date; a two-day "investigation" ensued. They eventually realized that they had not paid me because I was no longer an active employee -- so watch that last check. This company can absolutely be expected to do the bare minimum for their employees -- when I resigned, nobody from HR reached out. When I was trying to figure out where my final paycheck was, I asked about my unused PTO. Because I live in a state that has few worker protections, I was told that I would not be receiving pay for the unused PTO because my state doesn't require them to pay it out. Executive leadership INSISTS on calling employees "team members", but it's just words. They do not care about individual contributors.
