Thrown away with no training or development or feedback even when requested
Pros
Big fancy desk and office, cell, computer. Good hours, except when you work weekends. You pretty much can do what you want without answering to anyone. I thought it was my future and the corporation was going to develop and give me the tools to succeed but nope.
Cons
No training or development. They put me in a room with a telephone book operations manual told me to read the first chapter and it reads like Brail. I wasn't shown anything by management of any proper way to do anything. No proper way to file, the files. No proper way to lease up the building. You sit in your nice office and complete forms and charts, logging Everything and deal with the whole world that is the complex, while the boss orders you around through e-mail ....I was being told one thing by my direct boss....then being told the complete opposite by that persons boss. They put me in an office for 2 months......in June and July all day....with no ac breathing in construction dust all day without occupancy permits...I did get a fan right before I was canned....and you have to lease up the building without anything to show tenants except a white boxed room. Picking up after construction people who spit on the floor and leaves bottles of monster and Coca Cola in the incomplete under construction rooms that your trying to show and convince people to put down a stupid amount of cash....for an apartment you could buy a house for. Also you are a manager to multiple complexes...so enjoy traveling location to location checking that the tenants don't break the completely one sided agreements and making sure your not discriminating against the numerous tenant advocates that call all day...... Also...Just remember you are completely expendable. A couple days before I would receive benefits for myself and my family.....they were like "bye" with no explanation or write ups. No feedback or care.
