ACC is a fast-growing school and overall a great place to work. The people around me were always willing to take time out of their day to helping you if needed.

Cons

Compensation was just okay for my years of experience and education. There was no opportunity for advancement that I could see from my position. Little to no collaboration. Office politics - there is definitely and "in" group that is difficult to penetrate, but generally, people are friendly nonetheless. My supervisor was rarely visible or available.

Awesome English Department. The provide great support, training, guidance, and Judy Sanders (Department Chair) is excellent in every way.

Cons

As an online professor, you still have to hold on-campus office hours. That precludes all mobility and travel. **Concerning wages, adjunct employment at any college is extortion, but ACC actually pays a little bit better than most.
