Immediate manager let me do my job with adequate support and no interference or looking over my shoulder. Stimulating educational environment. Faculty are mostly great customers. Fairly low stress work environment overall.

Cons

Inadequate pay, especially considering the rising cost of living in Austin, Texas. Unnecessary interference and lack of support from unknowledgeable upper management. Limited opportunities for advancement. Pre-selection of some positions posted as job vacancies. Excessive major and petty office politics.

Open environment when it comes to classes and degree options. Student first centric, but the adjuncts have a lot of support as well.

Cons

It's a college, things take time to change. We offer work-force degree plans, which require committee approval for any major change.
