Good perks, the pay was ok

Cons

Scheduling time off was a nightmare, they made you log your bathroom breaks and things, and I didn’t know it would be a call center position because the recruiter made it sound very different

Good if you never went to college

Pros

Good opportunities to move up and build a career. Lots of promotion from within. Doesn't require a college degree, in fact most of my direct management only had a high school degree. Senior management (like CEO level) is really good.

Cons

No one ever grows up wanting to work at a payroll company and it shows. Lots of lifers who have a crab in the bucket mentality and don't want to see new or young people succeed. Lots of ingrained bureaucracy from people who are losers in real life and hold onto their sliver of power.
