Pros

My colleagues and direct manager are very kind people. I was able to work remote.

Cons

First let me start off by saying that this is in fact a CALL CENTER. They will 100% lie to you in your interview. I directly asked in my interview if this was a call center or if I would be constantly be answering phones and their response was “you only receive calls from your assigned clients.” This is absolutely not true. I took calls from 8:30AM to 5:30PM from northeast, south, central and west coast markets. One after the other non stop. Not only are you taking calls all day but you are expected to also have a full list of clients. I had a client list of 108, trained new hires and expected to keep my phone line open for more than 80% of the day. Payroll advisors are basically in the trenches and their is no end in sight. You just keep your head down, work through lunch while being screamed at by unhappy clients who were over promised things by sales and there is nothing that we can actually do. Sure you get 80 hours of PTO but you are only able to use them between the months of February and October. If there are too many people out then you are not able to take a day off. It is first come first serve when it comes to long weekends or major holidays which usually go to the favorites of the management team. Those who are “happy” completely drink the kool-aid and are blinded by playing kick ball in an old parking lot once a year and occasional snack boxes full of candy like we’re children. You are indeed just a number at ADP. There is no moving up unless you kiss the butts of upper management. Raises and bonuses are slim to none. Management only cares about the stats their team brings in, ie how long they were on the phones. It is the straight up 70s work culture at ADP and they will constantly lose hard workers and fantastic employees. Unless pain and crying is an ideal work place, go anywhere else.

Pros

Good benefits Nice people Their always feeding you Lots of perks Training is fun

Cons

Training covers 5-10% of the job (when the teacher gives you a study guide and nothing you studied is on the test) 18 month learning curve They want you to constantly be on the phone helping “Alex” but don’t really consider that you need time to work on case management Very stressful. It’s a customer service job but extra stress because your dealing with people’s businesses and when things go wrong, sometimes there’s nothing you can do. Other departments never want to help. Client services are always left with all the work even when they have no control of the situation. They want you to be there for the client and go the extra mile but also want you always taking more calls. This add to case loads. Which makes it hard to keep with taking calls and going above and beyond. A lot of your cases require research and time off the phones. But your measured on how many calls you have and your surveys. Bad surveys are hard to remove even when it’s not your fault. If someone gives you an 8/10 it’s bad.

Pros

• Great compensation and benefits • CEO really seems to care about his employees • Facilities are well maintained

Cons

• Absolutely NO personality, collaboration or culture in department (DataCloud) • Early meetings. Start at 7-7:30 AM EST, 4-5x a week are normal • Management is all over the place in strategy and where the product is headed. • Most of the time you’re expected to do what you’re told and just push pixels and not be creative • Everyone in the department knows it takes ~6 months to understand the product due to its complexity. The lack of onboarding and training is probably why it takes that long. You're thrown into a fire with 0 help or guidance. • Go through months of approval for software purchases
