Pros

No pros except for the people who are suffering with you.

Cons

I was talked out of taking domestic violence leave because it might look bad if I wanted a promotion later on to up market. The company is a call center that claims it’s not. You are pressured to meet unobtainable metrics and alleviate call times but when you suffer or crack under the pressure management fires you and does not care about you. It’s a corporate sweat shop and everyone there is miserable. I’m not sure who they paid to fill out a nice survey.

Pros

Decent pay starting out, 401k match is high and benefits aren’t too expensive. Have stock purchasing options. Gym and doctor on site. Decent building and parking is nice.

Cons

They start you out at 18.75 an hour in FL, which is ok for the area, but much lower than what payroll processors make who use the program. You will teach people who get paid 2-3x more than you to do their job. They will only promote a few % of people. Most people quit within the year due to being overworked and not supported. They have mandatory overtime at the end of the year, and guilt you into working more, like skipping lunch, during the busy season. You will not be promoted if you do not do extra OT. Management is lacking in experience on the program, so they are hesitant to jump on calls that get escalated. You will have a service lead, but that person is shared between 6-12 individuals and you have to jockey for time. Most tech leads have only been with the company for a few months longer, so sometimes you have to go to another lead for help, waiting even longer. Clients have no idea how many cases you have, and management expects you to get back to people immediately via email, as well as answer phones non stop without getting time to work on open cases.

Pros

Good pay, benefits and nice coworkers

Cons

Metrics and money seem to be way more important that employees and their mental health especially around open enrollment time. There is a ridiculous blackout period for December and January where no one can take any time off. Even if you need a day off, it needs to be approved. This role is rewarded with overextending oneself. Management keeps this role in line by letting the client dictate your salary and future via client comments and reviews.
