Worst Experience Ever- Terminated Without Any Warning
Pros
Good Work Life Balance Great Team
Cons
Unorganized Unprofessional Late on First Payment Horrible HR Department Trouble Finding Company Handbook, And When I Did The Handbook Didn't Have Company Policies In It. Don't Care About Employees. I was a great employee for ADP and received excellent feedback and made alot of sales. Yet I was ordered to leave early from a company trip to New Jersey, placed on paid supension, investigated, and terminated supposedly for sexist language I used. I strongly believed I was racially discriminated against and was the only black man at this corporate trip. A few Employees claimed I stared at women during the trainings. I easily pointed out that I was active in the trainings and never stared at anyone though I did pay attention to my surroundings. At no point did I come onto females there. They also claimed I took a 45 minute break from the trainings. I pointed out that this was a complete lie. I stepped out to use the bathroom and couldn't have been gone for more than 10- 20 minutes. This seemed completely ridiculous to complain I supposedly stared at women yet they are tracking my bathroom usage. After hours I had drinks with others as I didn’t know there was such hatred for me. I has a few drinks as did others. This is perfectly legal and because it was after hours the company shouldn't be involved in that. Yet they forced me to reveal how much I drank, meanwhile conveniently didn’t ask anyone else how much they drank. During the investigation I was not allowed to gather witnesses that saw me nor even speak about what went on. Meanwhile the few who did hate me were allowed to do so and turn others against me. I later checked after I was terminated and people that could have spoken on my behalf claimed that they did not know this was going on nor were they even asked what happened. I was questioned by HR as to what happened and although HR had no proof it was clear they didn't trust me seeing as they sent me home without even hearing my side first and then asked me the questions. I was then almost immediately terminated despite me never having this issue before, having no prior write ups nor warnings, the instructors at the trainings never giving me any negative feedback, me not violating any company policies, and all this being based on heresy. There was obvious signs a few of them didn't like me. For one I demonstrated no signs of intoxication. No red watery eyes, slurred speech, or inappropriate behavior. One of them offered me a drink if I would go home with him claiming to be worried because I was tired. He knew I didn't sleep the day before. The others lied to me and stated they were going home anyways. So I left with him via Uber, but upon arriving I was bored and wanted to have more fun. The night was still young. So I went back out. I asked the locals for a good bar and then Ubered there. The bar they told me was closed but luckily I heard of another bar nearby called Grasshopper. To my surprise when I went there I found the other employees there. I questioned why they were there as they told me they were going home. They claimed they lied because I was drunk which it was obvious I was not. If I was so drunk that I needed to be taken home then why buy me a drink and how was I able to take another Uber all by myself especially when speaking to the locals. They just didn't want me there which was fine but they then lied and claimed I was stalking them by going to the bar they were at when this was all coincidence. I believe there may have also been gender discrimination because I am a man and they were women, but most of this was racial discrimination as I have never seen anyone treated this terribly and with no bad behavior. While speaking with a female employee I brought up how you have to be tenacious when contacting potential customers even when they say no originally. This female employee then lied and claimed that I was claiming to do this for women when they say no despite sales and my own record proving that you must be this way for every customer regardless of gender.
