Pros
-Reasonably good technical work at junior levels -Money is not great (reasonably competent people can easily get a 50% or more hike on leaving), however, perks and other benefits compensate to an extent -Excellent place for BPO staff with all kinds of transport facilities, allowances and other perks
Cons
-Legacy / outdated technology -Takes several years to master the voluminous spaggetti code, outdated home built tools and inefficient processes -Company resembles a government office / political party in many ways. I mean, meetings involving senior management invariably start with the equivalent of, "I am grateful to Sonia / Jayalalitha / Modi / XYZ for giving me this opportunity and for their continued guidance and leadership" etc. This is mandatory to survive. -Speak out one word against any manager in your chain only if you are prepared to pay the price
