Pros

Great compensation, rewards success, financially stable, great solutions - leading the industry

Cons

Company promotes "One ADP" but as a Major Accounts District Manager you will compete directly against other district managers. Internal sales policies often hurt your efforts. Most district managers "play the game" and "work the system".

Mass Exodus of Talent

Pros

The reason people stay at ADP is for the people. The working people at field level. The top executive management is good, new development and products are good, however, VP and DVP management is as poor as its been in decades. Most importantly, they are blinding the executive staff from what is really going on in the field. Employees morale is at an all time low, and the compensation plan is in the lower quartile compared to competitors. Great work - life balance and can easily work virtual. However, if you want to be a top performer and are there to blow it out and make a great living, be prepared for average.

Cons

Its unfortunate that such a great company is letting its senior talent walk out the door. Certainly is a great place to learn and make average money, however, its unfortunate senior mgmt refuses to recognize the fact that the best and most experienced talent keeps walking out the door in droves. In fact, take a quick search on Linked in to see how many have left to go to Workday, Success Factors, Oracle, and Aon Hewitt , Ultimate Software and many others. The key is that these were the top performers. ADP has successfully kept the middle of the pact by continuing to deliver a compensation plan that caters to the average performer. The reason being is that unlike other sales companies, ADP senior execs want to make sure no one makes more money than them. The problem is a top performer cannot afford to move into management. Interestingly enough, if you have been there a long time it's highly unlikely you will get fired, as with the good old boys club, you can always find a kush job that requires little effort to make average pay. If you have been there long enough and are ina senior enough position, they will simply move you down a rung in title and give you a different smaller responsibility in a non performing business sector, or even create a role for you that requies little skill or effort. So, there is your positive. However, if you want to blow it out, then this is not the place for you.
