Pros

For the time being, there are some very talented employees across the company, many of whom are passionate about the products and the people behind them. If you are fortunate enough to form a professional relationship with these individuals, you would be lucky to learn from their expertise and example. Unfortunately, this does not describe any of the leaders in the Operations department. Good bones overall, but Aerco is plagued by incompetent leadership.

Cons

The effects of the pandemic coupled with poor leadership decisions have led to an incredible loss in employee retention with no light at the end of the tunnel. The environment is toxic and most Operations employees are scared of being targeted and fired (scapegoated by management) and/or are left completely demoralized. I can say in good confidence that 90% of staff in this department are looking for other jobs as of this review. I would be remiss if I didn't specifically note the difficulty that female professionals have working under current operations leadership. I've seen "rising stars" demoted for no reason, targeted, and completely ignored in terms of professional development. Meanwhile, several mediocre and underqualified men part of "the club" have been given prominent roles. They are running the business into the ground, but management continues supporting them out of "loyalty", which means they are all willing to cover for each other's unethical practices. HR is weak and there is no true confidentiality for whistleblowers. Employees that speak up are fired or retaliated against in other ways. All of this to say, I would not touch this company with a ten-foot pole until major structural changes have been made within the organization.

Pros

up until 2012, this company was terrific to work for.

Cons

It slowly started its downhill climb when Private Ownership sold out to a Private Equity Firm and its President and CEO was demoted and eventually left the company. New President at that time was a Ego-Maniac and solely out for himself, got his golden parachute and left the company as soon as the company was sold to Watts. When Watts bought the company in 2016, the company really went downhill. New President is totally clueless. Many great managers, directors and vice presdients left the company or were laid off. Now, there is maybe 20% of the Office Operation still left with the company since 2012. Definitely NOT the company you want to work for. (Beware of the HR Director - She is a back stabber)

Pros

It used to be a better place when privately owned. Slowly it changed in time with private equity ownership then public company acquisition.

Cons

Way too much politics for the size of a company.
