Pros

Flexible hours, company vehicle, lots of opportunities to sell and make extra money. Practically unlimited OT.

Cons

Working outside in the winter. Telus demands tests for systems that have been continually broken on there end but you as a tech are held responsible for. No pension and benefits are basic.

Pros

Good associates on shop floor generally. Attracts some good talent in mid-level management roles.

Cons

Profit first/only mentality is damaging credibility of organization. Employees are blamed for issues that arise from others being permitted to make significant business decisions without any oversight or input. Associate must attempt to make up for these shortcomings and are blamed when production lags due to bad installation, project execution, unrealistic timelines, etc.
