Pros

-friendly work environment -potential to move positions within company -work expectations are reasonable -work appreciation lunches, BBQ's and other activities -Compensation has been improved over the last 2 years

Cons

-Seems that promotions are favorable for executive level employees and higher -A lot more incentives and bonus' for Manager level and above positions. Lower level positions do not get any share in bonus' (it would be nice if ALL employees had a little incentive as well as managers) -Company has grown significantly in the last 3-5 years and there are still some "growing pains" like segregated departments, HR department still sorting out details that directly affect employees, favoritism etc -A lot of conflicting information told to employees in order to cover management decisions -Cost of living pay increases would be nice (currently do not have this) -having Annual Christmas parties would be nice (currently do not have this)

Not For Everyone!

Pros

Where to start.. company provided vehicle and cell phone, paid training, prof drivers courses are provided to employees, benefits, plenty of freedom (They don't hold your hand) lots of time off (provided you don't mind working occasional 8 days on and getting 6 off) and a great community of technicians that will help you out.

Cons

It's size. You're literally just a number. With a set of other numbers. Numbers that determine your value to the organization. Good luck getting help with issues job related from management, you will be directed to email other technicians or to contact a separate department specialized to walk you through problems over the phone. So, basically, call IT.

Pros

I was brought on in a temporary position and when I showed that I worked hard and was a fast learner and a position was needed I was offered the job. Since then I have seen that AFL encourages their employees to learn and grow within the company to achieve their personal goals and improve the company. The benefits we are offered along with the extra things that AFL does for their employee's makes it a great place to work.

Cons

I don't have any at this time.
