Good programming teams/managers, poor atmosphere.

Pros

I always found the programming managers to be receptive and down-to-earth. There seemed to be opportunities for people to advance if they are dedicated and work hard. The company takes decent care of their employees. They were more interested in us getting our hours in than a specific daily schedule.

Cons

The work was not very interesting or challenging much of the time. The atmosphere was kind of poor. There's a low opinion of HR (although I found HR to be reasonable and courteous). Not a very strong sense of team, but more like groups of programmers that are on the same team. However, good camaraderie.

Pros

Family atmosphere. Owners frequently buy lunch and offer trips once a year. Holidays are nice they buy gifts they raffle off.

Cons

They’re not that proactive with looking for new business. They play favorites as well.
