Pros

Yearly company trip that seems to be going to worse locations year by year. No others that I have seen

Cons

24/7 work schedule, astronomically expensive health insurance. Zero training for teams that have to support products the company sells. If you want to get trained you will need to do it from YouTube videos and expected to be an expert the next time an issue arises. Forget about career advancement. Not to mention ZERO raises. Been here for years and have not received a penny raise. Instead insurance now is close to 20k out of pocket per year. Consider that a pay cut

Pros

AHEAD has some very talented engineers and technologists. The level of talent that AHEAD usually attracts also means that they can land large, career-defining projects. They generally tend to support training and certification.

Cons

AHEAD has previously prided themselves on having the best talent in the business. But over the last year, many of the most talented engineers and architects have fled the company for greener pastures. AHEAD is not a company that was built to scale, and management hasn't really addressed the scaling issues. Internal processes are horrible. Rapid growth has made these problems worse. There are no real career growth paths inside the organization, nor are there processes for engineers to cross-train or get exposed to new technologies unless they train on their own time. I've worked with some engineers who haven't had a promotion in being with the company for multiple years and weren't able to explore new areas. AHEAD's rapid growth has hurt in this area as well - AHEAD will go out and hire additional engineers before allowing internal employees to transfer to new teams. There are no internal management training programs. Managers are promoted from the engineering staff, but there are no mentorship or grooming programs to convert engineers into managers.

Cons

This was the worse experience of all. Lack of training and unprofessional behavior at full display by management. You would be promised one thing at hiring and one week after your hire date, it will be arrogantly broken. Overworked and under appreciated employees who are constantly abused and never appreciated. No training at all as employees are asked to go to youtube and learn other technologies. Health Benefits were bad to begin with and got even worse. No 401K match and no pay raise at all for any employee, let it be new or old.
