Pros

The tutoring team at AJ is phenomenal. Everyone cares deeply about the success of each student and there is a reliable support network for any situation imaginable. AJ is constantly looking for ways to innovate and expand, and you can tell that leaders value employee feedback and ideas. Team leaders are consistently supportive and guide you through all aspects of the tutoring profession, from parent communication to pedagogical approaches. Team members are flexible and always eager to lend a hand. Students are universally eager to learn and engaged in the learning process. You are unlikely to find any moments where you are caught off guard, as AJ will fully train you in any subjects you are expected to teach. A final (huge) perk is the flexibility afforded in making your own schedule. Overall AJ offers a superb culture of learning and teaching. Working with students in a one-on-one setting is a uniquely personal experience, one that I cherish and will deeply miss. I cannot recommend working here enough.

Cons

None that I can think of.

Pros

They value their tutors, and it shows in their investment in training, compensation for your time in and out of sessions, and supportive leadership. AJ Tutoring creates a great team environment for a job that can be very isolating. The company also encourages growth in your practice and career.

Cons

There are a lot of administrative tasks, but you are paid for that time, and there is a lot of guidance.
