Pros

AJ Tutoring attracts hardworking, motivated students from the best schools in the area. The relationships one builds with students as well as with other coworkers are very rewarding. From the beautiful offices in the best areas of town to the most highly developed materials and training, AJ Tutoring is changing the game of private one-on-one tutoring. The starting compensation is the best in the in the field and there is room to grow with the company. The management is approachable and truly cares for the well being of employees. Overall, working at AJ has been an amazing experience.

Cons

There are not many cons to working at AJ Tutoring: hours are generally in evenings and weekends and can fluctuate from week to week and there is always some time spent on paperwork and and scheduling, but for tutors who manage their time well, this is a non-issue.

Pros

Generous compensation Focus on student growth before profit High quality work place; offices are very nice Strong training programs Upward mobility is truly available to hard workers Most training materials are very high quality and well developed Lots of support for personal growth and skill advancement

Cons

CRMs are buggy, especially for hour logging Admin work and emailing can be time consuming Assignment of students from multiple offices, with scheduling constraints, sometimes means that it takes 10 hours to work 7 Some parents are never satisfied, even when you deliver gold Because of the 1-on-1 structure of the work (and multi-office issue), it can be very difficult to make time to connect with peers in the office, let alone create a sustained social culture.
