Pros

the hours, and store manager is usually good about giving you days off that you ask.

Cons

I was lied to when i first got hired in about getting 40 hrs, and all the over time i could possibly ever want. they would rather hire off the street than promote within. or they reward thoes with bad attitudes a new promotion just bc of their skin color.... thought aldi was all about making their employees happy, if you sat down with all of my fellow co workers that would be a different story. they schedule us 35 or less hrs a week then cut us each day, yet have postings that we are hiring for more people... oh and thanks to min. wage going up this last yr our yearly increase of 1.00 went to .35 and the company did not tell us! yes thanks for increasing your wages however that should not have effected our yearly increase. we should have gotten the $1 we were all promised and the .50 you decided to go up to match the MI state min. wage increase!!!! Rant over!!!!

Pros

Good pay, fast paced so days fly by, fantastic benefits, physical so you basically get a work out while at work

Cons

There's an unspoken expectation once you're trying to get into management that Aldi is your #1 priority in life. They expect you to drop everything for them with little to no concern for anything you may have going on in your life outside of work. When you do have to request off for something, it's like you spend the next few weeks being punished for it in how you are scheduled. Most store managers are working 65+ hours (they are salaried at 50 hours) to get everything done that's expected because they have either unreliable employees or not enough employees and there seems to be no rush for district managers to hire more people, which is really starting to put a strain on the reliable people they do have.
